Strictly Corby

scoring

There are three stages to the Strictly Corby event and in every stage the dancers are given a score of 1-10 points… 10 points for 1st, 9 for 2nd and so on.

This means there is a maximum total of 30 points available over the three stages and the winning couple will be the one with the highest total score.

Stage One - Fundraising

In the weeks leading up to the final event couples are encouraged to fundraise for Lakelands Hospice. They can do it any way they like, sponsorship by friends & relatives, corporate sponsorship or by organising their own fundraising events like cake sales etc.

All money raised must either be donated via JustGiving or paid in at the hospice by a set closing day and time. The money raised by each couple will be totalled up and points awarded... 10 points for 1st, 9 for 2nd and so on. Pledges of money will not count towards the couples fundraising totals.

Stage Two - Public Vote

The audience will have several opportunities to vote (by cash) for their favourite couple throughout the night.

Those following the event on twitter and facebook will be able to vote for their favourite by JustGiving.

The votes for each couple will then be totalled and points awarded... 10 pts for 1st, 9 for 2nd and so on.

Stage Three - Judges Vote

The four judges will privately score each couple for their Waltz and Cha Cha before passing these figures to our independent adjudicator. The show dance will then be scored in the same manner as the TV show by publically announcing their score. The scores for all three dances will then be totalled and points awarded... 10 points for 1st, 9 for 2nd and so on.
