As the Community Fundraising manager at Lakelands Hospice Paul is responsible for making sure Strictly Corby and all our other fundraising events run smoothly and raise as much money as possible.

Lakelands is a change of direction for Paul having previously spent 20 years in corporate finance.

Paul said "Lakelands is the most up-lifting and amazing place that gives so much to the people of Corby and one that I am very proud to be helping".

His previous dancing experience is confined to embarrassing his children with the odd stumble at a wedding party but says " I’m really looking forward to learning a new skill and show casing the hospice on the night".

As a child Liz was taught ballroom and Latin when she was just nine years old by Sharon Potter at the Village Hall in Corby Old Village where she grew up.

Liz returned to dancing, this time with her own children and taught by Marye Simmons of MaSh Dance.

Four years ago the opportunity to train for her professional exams arose, and is now a qualified Associate Ballroom and Latin teacher with the NATD.

Liz says "working with and being part of MaSh Dance school is very enjoyable and has given me the chance to be a part of this wonderful fundraising event".
