Corby born steel worker Scott has worked in Corby all his life. Scott has spent the last 16 years working for Tata Steel, and is currently working on the 6” mill as a mill inspector.

He is a family man and lives with his wife Julie and two young sons.

Not one to shy away from a challenge... Scott ran the London marathon in 2008 and fundraised for Lakelands Hospice in honour of his mother in law.

He said "Lakelands has a special place in my heart as Helen my mother in law was a patient there before dying of cancer."

With zero dancing experience to his name Scott feels very lucky to be partnered with old school friend Shelley who in his words "is a great dance teacher".

Scott wants to raise as much money as he can for Lakelands and in memory of Helen.

At just 2 years old, Shelley started ballet and tap dancing with her dance teaching mum Marye Simmons of MaSh Dance.

She then started ballroom, Latin American, Old Time & Freestyle at the age of 7.

As she got older Shelley would help out in classes but after taking her A-Levels she decided not to go to university but to follow in her mums footsteps and study to become a dance teacher instead.

A Year later Shelley had started her own dance classes and has been doing it ever since.

Shelley says "It's a great job, and MaSh Dance School is going from strength to strength!"

Shelley teaches dance in Corby, Kettering & Islip, as well as local primary schools & nurseries.
