Big Hugs!

Fundraising Toolkit

organising your fundraising event

Fundraising is lots of fun and an excellent way of spreading awareness of our work throughout our local community as well as raising vital funds. You will be helping to make a difference to peoples lives.

The more people that know about the work we do, the more support we receive, and so the more we can do to help those with life-limiting illnesses.

We want you, your friends and those attending your event to all have an enjoyable and fun time.

Why Choose Lakelands

At Lakelands Hospice we are committed to being here, and ready to care for local people living with cancer, heart failure and other life limiting illnesses.

Our services are offered free to our patients and we cover a 20 mile radius of Corby. We run a friendly Day Care Hospice where those attending find amazing care, support and friendship from qualified nurses & volunteers within a social atmosphere. The support we provide helps local people living with such illnesses, to live their lives as fully as possible.

Our Hospice at Home service provides the extra support needed during the final weeks of life. Our highly trained, compassionate and experienced nurses give tremendous amounts of reassurance and support to patients, carers and families at the time when it is needed most.

The money you raise will be contributing towards the £515,000 it costs to provide these vital services to those in need in our local community. Your fundraising will help pay for these typical services listed below that we provide to our patients at no cost to themselves or their family.

  • £30      A session of Hypnotherapy
  • £70      One day attending our Day Care Hospice
  • £110    An activity day for the patients
  • £239    An overnight “Hospice at Home” care
